Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pot Master iPhone app and related services at potmaster.app (together, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using Pot Master, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About Pot Master
Pot Master helps home poker groups track buy-ins, final stacks, settlements, history, and leaderboards. The Service is an informational tracking tool only.
Pot Master does not:
- Process real-money payments or transfers
- Operate as a casino, sportsbook, or gambling platform
- Guarantee the accuracy of every settlement calculation in every edge case
- Provide legal, tax, or financial advice
You are responsible for any real-money settlements or disputes with other players in your group.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Pot Master. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
You must comply with all applicable laws in your location.
3. Your Account
Cloud sync is optional. If you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, you are responsible for keeping access secure, providing accurate profile information, and activity under your account.
You may sign out or delete your account at any time in Settings. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle account deletion.
4. Circles, Invites, and Shared Data
When you create or join a circle, you understand that:
- Other circle members can see game-related data for that circle
- Invite codes and links may allow others to join unless you manage membership
- You should only share invite codes with people you trust
You are responsible for the information you enter and share within your circles.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes, harass other users, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the Service, or use offensive or misleading names.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms.
6. Settlements and Calculations
Settlement results are generated from buy-ins and final stacks entered by users. They are provided for convenience only. Always verify amounts before settling up in real life. We are not a party to any private agreement or payment between you and other players.
7. Intellectual Property
Pot Master, its design, code, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of content you create in the app. You grant us the rights needed to host, sync, and display that content to provide the Service to you and your circle members.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third parties such as Supabase, Apple, and Google for authentication and cloud sync. Your use of those features may also be subject to their terms and policies.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) GBP £10.
11. Termination
You may stop using Pot Master at any time by deleting the app and, if applicable, deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the app.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country give you the right to bring claims elsewhere.
